Rosa Naday Garmendia
I am a visual artist blending contemporary art and activism, using printmaking as a powerful tool to provoke conversation on social issues. Currently, I’m focused on letterpress printing—a space where history, craft, and resistance converge. Born in Havana, Cuba, I divide my time between Miami and Havana, drawing inspiration from both cultures. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole, I navigate diverse worlds, crafting work that speaks across borders. My love for nature, science, and community fuels my creative process, adding layers of depth to every piece I create.
Zoe Garmendia
I've built my career in event and travel management, with extensive experience in high-profile events like International Jazz Day, Democratic Presidential Conventions and Inaugurations, and the Olympics, with some of my work even extending to the Obama White House. This has refined my skills in logistics, operations, and building meaningful connections. As a travel advisor specializing in Cuba, I’ve gained deep cultural insight into the island's creative spirit. Born in Havana and raised in the US, my strong family ties to Cuba influence my work with INKspace Residency, where my sister and I are creating a space for artists to connect, collaborate, and immerse themselves in Cuba’s artistic legacy.
