The Print Shop
Founded in 1962 by mural artist Orlando Suarez with the support of then-Minister of Industry Che Guevara, Havana’s leading printmaking studio continues to thrive today. Committed to preserving traditional printmaking techniques, it produces meaningful works of graphic art. Beyond its artistic legacy, the studio attracts artists, poets, writers, and musicians, fostering a vibrant and creative community.
Upstairs, the Galería del Grabado showcases a collection of original prints—including etchings, lithographs, woodcuts, and collagraphs—all created in-house, making it a fantastic spot to discover unique and authentic artwork.
Tucked away in El Callejón del Chorro in La Habana Vieja (Old Havana), this bustling spot is filled with pedestrians, locals, and visitors, all surrounded by the city's rich history and breathtaking architecture from the 16th to 19th centuries. With its rich heritage and thriving creative scene, Havana remains the heart of Cuba’s cultural identity.
